Storing your will
Once we have professionally written your Will and have overseen the signing and witnessing, we can offer you a safe document storage facility. It is important that your Will remain valid and safe until the time comes when it is needed.
There have been occasions where clients have lost their wills and needed duplicates. Luckily they only lost the copy, we were holding the originals.
We safeguard your original Will in case of family disputes, loss of the Will, fire or flood damage and to ensure it has nothing added to it after you have signed it.
What do I get with this service?
Your documents will be kept locally so your executors gain access to your Will quickly. As part of the annual storage service, we will write to all your Executors and any Substitutes to tell them that they have been appointed and where the original Will is being stored. The small annual fee for storage is paid on Direct Debit and we guarantee this will always remain fair.
You will receive a copy of your Will, to keep for your records.
A letter will be sent to each Executor explaining how to retrieve your documents.
Free storage for any additional documents your would like to securely store with us, for example Property Deeds or letters for loved ones.
No fee for retrievals or deposits of any of your documentation.
Free assistance for your executors with support and information about their duties after your death.
